Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate that our post triggered someone’s memories. Azores are worth visiting all year. Depending on the island you choose to visit, there are numerous travel packages and off-season rates.

Years ago, while I was active duty in the USAF, I tried to get assigned there… but they “needed me” elsewhere (as they always demur).
